Identifying Your Stolen Or Lost Property

Too often police officers have to let thieves go and hand them back property that they know is stolen as the ownership of it cannot be proved.
By registering your property on a national database you can assist in convicting offenders and enable the return of your property.
This database is used by most of the police forces in the UK including South Wales Police. The register is at www.immobilise.com (it has previously been called www.mend.co.uk). The register is free to use and enables you to record the serial numbers of all your valuable items, i.e laptops, mobile phones, bikes, iPods, TV's etc.
If a police officer checks the serial number on the system, it will quickly identify you as the owner so please make use of this database and tell your family and friends.
The more property that is registered the more people we will be able to arrest and convict.
